Compliance programme

At SATUM, we see responsible and sustainable business as an integral part of our corporate culture, and we strive for a balanced approach that combines economic, social and environmental aspects. As members of the Czech Business Council for Sustainable Development (CBCSD), our environmental focus is on digitising processes to save paper, making efficient use of resources, and in the future we also plan a gradual greening of our vehicle fleet. Our sustainable operations are also significantly supported by our headquarters in the modern IQ Ostrava building, which holds an energy label B and the prestigious BREEAM Excellent certification.

Our social pillar is built on equal treatment, diversity and support for our employees, to whom we provide flexibility, professional training and a framework for balancing their work and private life. Equally important to us is the support of communities, in which we also involve our colleagues through corporate volunteering and the „SATUM helps“ programme. Through the programme, we have already supported organisations such as ShareTheMeal, Eduzměna, Nevypusť duši and Mobilní hospic Ondrášek. Support for regional sport and culture is also essential for us — we proudly stand behind the clubs FC Baník Ostrava, HC Vítkovice Ridera and NH Ostrava, and we support events such as NATO Days in Ostrava, the Summer Shakespeare Festival and the Leoš Janáček International Music Festival.

In our corporate governance, we rely on high ethical standards, corruption prevention and strict protection of client data, which is regularly verified by both internal and external audits.

In sustainability, however, we do not want to settle for the current situation; our ambition is to continuously improve and develop in this area and to implement our strategy as effectively as possible. To keep moving forward, in 2025 we introduced the role of ESG Specialist, who is the main steward of these topics and an advisor to management on our further direction.

Compliance programme

SATUM CZECH s.r.o. promotes adherence to good business ethics and the combating of corruption. To this end, SATUM CZECH s.r.o. has implemented a Compliance programme against unlawful conduct, which establishes rules of conduct for employees of SATUM CZECH s.r.o. or other persons acting on behalf of SATUM CZECH s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as “staff”). The essence of these rules is that SATUM CZECH s.r.o. staff act in the performance of their work exclusively in accordance with the applicable legal regulations of the Czech Republic.

The development of fair business practices and the prevention of criminal offences is also required of all suppliers, subcontractors and cooperating persons.

Code of Ethics of SATUM CZECH s.r.o.

The Code of Ethics is a binding document that expresses the moral principles of the company.

In the performance of insurance intermediation activities, SATUM CZECH s.r.o., as well as its employees, staff and responsible persons, act with the highest standard of personal and professional conduct, in particular acting honestly, responsibly, with respect and in accordance with good ethics.

For the purpose of reporting suspected breaches of the company’s Code of Ethics, the email address compliance@satum.cz has been established.

For the submission mechanism under the Code of Ethics, the SATUM CZECH s.r.o. directive “REPORTING OF BREACHES OR IMMINENT BREACHES OF THE LAW” in its current version is applicable mutatis mutandis.
